A group of young and old calling itself Concerned Dansoman residents in the Ablekuma West Constituency in the national capital has dammed the incumbent NPP Member of Parliament, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful for Rev Kweku Addo.
The Concerned Danoman residents who made of landlords and landladies, market women, fisher folks, businessmen and women, entrepreneurs, students, former security capos, artisans and large commercial drivers expressed confident that Rev Kweku Addo has the right quality leadership to represent them in the august house come 2021.
Concerned Dansoman Residents asserted, “Rev Kweku Addo is a respected man of God, whose good human relationship cuts across the religious bodies and political divides in the Ablekuma West. He is also a successful businessman and a philanthropist.”
The leader of the concerned residents, Hon Isaac Nii Amponsah Dodoo, on Wednesday at about 9am led a group of dynamic men and women to pick nomination forms for Rev Kweku Addo.
Rev Kweku Addo, who was humbled upon hearing the news, moved to meet the group and thanked them for the honour. He gave the group full assurance that he would contest and that he would never disappoint them and the people of Ablekuma West.
For now, it is crystal clear that Rev Kweku Addo would contest for the Parliamentary Candidate (PC) on the ticket of the NDC and his contenders would be other aspirants who have contested the previous NDC primaries in 2015.
The citipressonline.com is aware Prince Derek Adjei popularly called PDA and Mrs. Mariam Korkor Ayertey affectionately referred to as Iron Lady are yet to pick their nomination forms.
The last results show that PDA managed 4th position and the beautiful Iron Lady did well to secure 2nd place out of the 4 contenders who battled for the NDC PC.
Rumours hovering around town have it that Mrs Dina Twum, aka dynamic Dina, the NDC parliamentary candidate for 2016, is nurturing a desire to make a comeback.
So far, the activities the trio have been resoundly commendable by some political watchers although some aspirants are doing far better than others.
Interestingly, Rev Kweku Addo‘s entering into the NDC parliamentary candidate race has sent a terrifying wave of defeat down the spine of the NPP Ursula and her dread supporters in and outside the constituency.
