A Deputy Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Richard Nyamah, says enough is enough.
Mr Nyamah from a humble community call Botoku in the Volta Region has fired missiles at his NPP government for failing to live up to the expectations of Ghanaians including him.
The visibly angry Nyamah is claiming that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his administration is “corrupt and useless”.
Explaining his claim confidently, the Deputy Communications Director is saying that his government is paying a monthly interest of about Ghc70 million on non-existing loan facility of Ghc1.2 billion contracted from United Bank of Africa (UBA).
He maintained, “My government is paying huge interest on non-existing loan of GHc1.2 bn. The NPP is paying interest of about Ghc70m monthly on loan that is missing. The Ministry of Roads took that loan facility under the previous administration. Whom they disbursed the money to cannot be found.”
The angry Nyamah, who appeared disappointed in the governance style of his mentor Nana Akufo-Addo, dared the government of the NPP to arrest and prosecute the offenders if his party members are innocent of any wrongdoing.
Nyama made this damning assertion on Randy Abbey Good Morning Ghana, a popular newspaper review show of Metro TV on Thursday.
It would be recalled that on Wednesday an angry group of local contractors, numbering about hundred besieged the premise of the Ministry of Roads and Highways, demanding for their arrears of payments of contracts they had executed since 2016.
